The ELEVATOR WORLD staff works hard and prides itself on producing and distributing a high quality and educational magazine that our readers can trust. In addition, we have very dedicated correspondents and contributors around the world who are extremely valuable assets in making ELEVATOR WORLD a success. Teamwork and communication truly plays a vital role in our company.
Whether it’s a promotion, a raise or simply a pat on the back, everyone likes being recognized for a job well done. To gauge our work, see where we can make improvements and to find out how we “stack up” to other trade publications, we routinely enter awards competitions. Usually we submit specific issues, magazine covers, articles and/or columns.
We recently submitted our November 2008 issue, “Eco Issues in Vertical Transportation,” in the 2009 Tabbies Awards under the Best Single Issue category. This competition is held by the Trade Association Business Publications International (TABPI). This EW issue placed in the top 25 of more than 500 entries that were submitted, with nominations coming from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, France, China, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Germany and India.
We value this accomplishment and are also always looking for feedback on the things our readers think we do well, what we could improve and things that could be added to make for a more enjoyable reading experience. We hope that our readers can enjoy and utilize EW in their day-to-day activities around the office or jobsite. Sure, it takes a staff to produce the magazine, but our readers are ultimately the ones who allow us to continue producing ELEVATOR WORLD each month.
Thanks for reading!
Best — Brad
