Icicles replace drips above Bethesda, Maryland, Metro escalator

This week, Bethesdanow.com published a photo sent in by a reader that perfectly illustrates the frigid temperatures gripping much of the U.S. The photo shows drips above a broken escalators in the Bethesda, Maryland, metro, replaced, for the moment, with icicles. People who commented on the story blasted the station’s consistently poor conditions, but the website noted that at least the extreme cold stopped the leaks, for now.
