  1. The improved access to public buildings for disabled persons has opened up the need to provide a means of escape for wheel chair bound disabled persons in an emergency. I am pioneering an initiative to encourage the legislators to consider improvements in providing clearer signage in public places such as Airports, Railway Stations, Retirement homes etc and to dedicate a Lift (Elevator) as an EMERGENCY EVACUATION LIFT that should be powered from a key operated solid state stand by power system sited close to the Lift traction system to enable the lift to operate for 60 minutes in the event of normal power source failure.
