CNN reports that in the first visit by a Saudi Arabian ruler in almost half a century, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud has been visiting Indonesia. Along with his 505 tons of luggage and entourage of 1,500, the ruler brings two freestanding electric elevators, which are set up and taken down as he travels. He also arrived on a gold-plated escalator, Business Insider reported. This video shows a lift bearing the Alimak logo being used to install his beach escalator in his 2015 trip to France:
The king will spend a few days in Jakarta and West Java before heading to Bali on the Indonesian leg of a month-long Asia tour began in Malaysia and will see him going to China, Japan and the Maldives.
